09. 2 Samuel/1 Chronicles

King David

This lesson combines 2 Samuel with 1 Chronicles as those accounts overlap. For seven years, not everyone supported David, the new king. This godly king was not perfect. He sinned and tried to hide it by committing another sin. When confronted by the prophet Nathan, King David admitted his guilt and prayed for God’s forgiveness. His life was characterized by humility.

A note from your Bible study mentor –

David is nearing the end of his life. In the next lesson, 1 Kings/ 2 Chronicles, who will become king? Will he be a godly king? Will the country be strong? Who will be king after him? Will he be godly? Clue: conflicts will arise in the royal family.   Solomon’s temple

What do you think? Do they have a peaceful country? Why or why not?

Keep up the good work. Step by step, question by question, you will make it through this entire course. Right now, only concentrate on the next question. You are doing well!
