54. Colossians

Superiority of Christ

In Colossians, Paul wrote to the church at Colossae, encouraging them to set their minds on heavenly things.  He emphasized the preeminence of Christ in all things.  Their faith was based on what Christ has done for them and not on traditions.                                                                            For your convenienceBible online                                                                    City of Colossae

A note from your Bible study mentor –

With technology, we have instant contact with friends and family. In Paul’s time, letters had to be sent, or a person sent to get information. In the next lesson, he had sent Timothy to see how the believers in Thessalonica were doing.

When Timothy returned was the news good or bad? Was Paul encouraged by their faith?

In the second letter, he encouraged the believers concerning the end times. What will the last days be like?
